I could blab all day about the 22-room Sea Life Hotel in Nahariya, Israel and its:
- Stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea
- Lovely room accommodations
- Salt room with 60 inch TV
- Swimming pool and sea breezes
But I won’t bore you with that.
I’ll just cut to the chase.
It was all about the FOOD, at Sea Life Hotel in Nahariya, situated on the Northern Coast of Israel.
My Big Fat Mouth’s Stomach!
This was no exception…but it was an EXCEPTIONAL feast!
In my mind, I never could have imagined the lunch spread that was presented to our group.
On some levels this was all just a cruel hoax on my small body. There were too many delicious foods to choose from….Two types of chicken, lamb, rice, potatoes, plus all of those yummy salads.
Let’s not forget the bread either.
How on Earth could I eat all of this?
The Chef gleefully (and somewhat masochistically) shared how his lamb was slow-cooked for 6 hours in a warm sous vide bath, transferred to a cold bath for another hour, and then a sauce was made from the juices and wine.
Just when we couldn’t eat one more bite of food, another course of fresh salmon came out of the kitchen…just to taunt my overtaxed stomach. It would have been rude NOT to eat it, right?
I did my darnedest, as I do have manners.

PLEASE MAKE IT STOP, CHEF!
Unfortunately, we had to make a mad dash up to Rosh Hanikra, to take a ride on the steepest cable car in the world, and we had to pass on dessert.
I’d never been so happy to say no to something sweet.
