Crash Bandicoot Remastered- Who is playing the role of Coco Bandicoot?
When a fan asked me for a SKYPE interview, I hadn’t realized that after creating the voice of beloved gaming character, Coco Bandicoot in a Sony Playstation game called “Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back,” 20 years ago, I would still be fondly remembered today.
I had seen discussions in chat rooms over the years, debating who was the best Coco, between the three different women who voiced the role.
Loads of people voted for my rendition and for sure I was flattered. But I was also disappointed at the same time.
Why wasn’t I hired to voice Coco in Crash Bandicoot Remastered?
Crash Bandicoot remastered games release date is not very far off but for some reason (maybe one of those, everything happens for a reason, reasons), after CREATING the character in 1996, I never got the chance to reprise my role as Coco.
My voiceover career never went anywhere beyond the $100 dollars I had been paid for that job, and I’m pretty downtrodden about it all.
What I REALLY don’t understand is that SONY Playstation, along with Naughty Dog Productions has RE-Mastering the Crash Bandicoot Series, and NO ONE CALLED ME for that either!
Huh, What? Who’s playing me?
Sort of sucks, doesn’t it?
Suffice it to say, that at the very least, I made some people happy with my work, and in truth isn’t that what life is all about?? Um….partially.
But, I digress.
I really enjoyed being interviewed by the lovely Steph O’Keeffe, and loved being her guest! O’Keeffe, along with many other fans of my work as Coco Bandicoot had prepared a lot of questions for me and I was happy to answer them all.
This story would not be complete if I did not mention another one of my awesome fans, aspiring voiceover actor, Victor Yates.
Yates immortalized me this week on Twitter saying something that I HOPE Coco Bandicoot would agree with….

Thanks for the love Steff and Victor.
Sony, Naughty Dog.…feel free to call any time. I could really use some work.
This “Blogging Thing” doesn’t pay all that well.
