Party People Love To “Cook And Go”

Party People In The Kitchen At “Cook And Go” Chelsea

Word on the street, is that I am a really fun party guest. Rumors have also swirled, about my lackluster cooking skills. The combination of these two things, is probably why, Blue Polo Interactive and Debbie Mitchell invited me, and a few other well-known bloggers, to an evening of “Fun with Food” mayhem at “Cook And Go” cooking studio, in Chelsea.

Along with fellow foodies, Serena, Big Apple Nosh (bottom left) and Joyce, Chasing James Beard (top right), I sliced, diced, whipped, panko-ed, drizzled, and baked myself into a frenzy. All the while, chatting and shmoozing.

Step One- Slice The Apple

I mistook my apple for a snack, even though our lead chef, gave explicit instructions, every step of the way. Perhaps, I was too busy having fun and making Vine videos, to focus.

We began preparing the desserts first, as they would need the most amount of time, in the oven. Passing around bowls of ingredients, along with proper measuring tools, we added each of the components needed, to create individual portions of;  Panko Crusted Chicken, Pumpkin Ravioli, Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake, and Dark Chocolate Cranberry Tartlettes.

I’m still trying to figure out why the menu consisted of 2 desserts, but I didn’t really care. If there was any left over, my husband would gladly consume any and all of it.

Cooking Lessons And A Party, All Rolled Up Into One.

At the other cooking station, a team from Facebook, was enjoying a team building party/cooking class. Everyone was laughing and cooking and having a blast. I could easily see Cook and Go, being a great first date activity, or even a great singles-party, opportunity.

Cook, Don’t Go!

All in all, I would highly recommend this fun evening, for anyone who wants to learn about cooking and have a great time doing so.

Truth be told, my Cranberry Tartlette, was truly visionary. Ok, let’s not get excited. But it was BERRY good! That’s a little pun.

At the end of the night, I didn’t want to GO. I just wanted to COOK. I could have cooked all night…especially since someone else was doing the dishes!
