Along the banks of Lake Superior sits a delightful town called Duluth. Bob Dylan Slept Here...and I did too. Canal Park Lodge was lovely!

Little known fact. Bob Dylan lived in Duluth, Minnesota as a child. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, I might as well give you the address.

Where To Stay In Duluth, Minnesota.

A few miles down the road from Bob Dylan’s childhood home, is where I slept during my visit to the shores of Lake Superior. Canal Park Lodge is a quaint and authentic 116- room lodge with stunning views located on a lake walk.

My hotel room with balcony had so much charm and the bed, was one of the most comfy ever!

Watch this video tour of my beautiful room with patio overlooking Lake Superior.

Don’t forget your workout shoes and stretchy pants, as this lodge has easy access to a 12 mile walking/biking/running path. This CITY SLICKER from New York was enamored by the sounds of the waves crashing along the pebble beach and the birds chirping in the sky.

I’m easily amused:-)

What You Can Expect

View the waves crashing or the ships coming in from your balcony suite.

Have a picnic on the shore, skip rocks, or enjoy the many miles of Lake Superior shoreline along the lake walk.

If you’re lucky, this will happen.

I could easily have sat on this bench for hours, but there was too much to see and do in Duluth during my short visit.

Early in the morning, I peeked out from under my covers to catch this beautiful sunrise.

Someone said something about an indoor pool but I didn’t get a chance to see it.

Read a book by the fireplace or work on your Social Media.

Yes, this is..I mean WAS, a real bear hanging on the wall.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when this rainbow appeared over the lighthouse.

Great dining, retail shops, antique shops, and services are close by. As a matter of fact we walked over to Canal Park Brewery for dinner and some hometown brews.

Whether you are trying to get away to relax from the hustle and bustle of a busy schedule or need a vacation full of fun-filled activities, visits to attractions, and beautiful sight-seeing, a stay at the Canal Park Lodge is a must. The North Shore starts here!

A gigantic sumptuous breakfast with DIY waffle maker is included in the room rate, as well as appetizers during happy hour, cookies in the afternoon and the almighty WIFI.
